Adjectives

Today I was reading in 1 John and came across a verse that hit hard. 1 john 2:28 . . ."And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming." The thing is, I'm not so sure that confident and unashamed are the adjectives that would accurately describe my life. My heart breaks at that thought, but I guess the real question is if I am willing to do anything about it. Cole

Hey, I agree with you. I don't always feel confident and unashamed either, but I know that I have reason to be confident b/c of Christ, my high priest (Heb 4:16). Just struggle living like that every day. To me the key to that verse and to doing something about lack of confidence and unashamedness before him is that phrase, "continue in Him." That, I think, is crucial. Gotta keep coming back to Him, gotta keep quieting myself and listening to His voice. Well, thanks for sharing. So good to hear from you again. Blessings on the journey, you never know whats around the bend.

I would think that confident and unashamed would be the two adjectives I would use to describe you. Especially when stealing a hammock. Sorry about my tardiness with the CD. I lost your address and my dog ate the CD and somehow it's probably adam's fault.
